So who are Spen Design?

Formed in February 2017 by Michael Spivey, after having worked as a Project Engineer within the fire sprinkler industry on hundreds of varying contracts. 

With the vast experience gained, Michael then decided to make the leap and offer a sub-contractor design service to the fire sprinkler industry.   

Since our humble beginnings, we have continued to grow and strengthen, and now have a team of very capable and enthusiastic designers. We pride ourselves on our passionate approach to offering the best engineered solutions whilst not over complicating matters.

Spen Design are located within West Yorkshire, and design for companies throughout the UK and have even worked on projects abroad.

At Spen Design we are committed to working with our clients by producing designs that are legible, without over complicating matters, to enable the best results for our clients and, therefore, their customers.

We appreciate that in the case of R & D, whatever the size of project, we understand this is someone's home. With that in mind we are conscious to try, wherever possible, to incorporate the aesthetics for the visual effect  whilst keeping to the constraints of the design standards as well as maintaining a watchful eye on the budget.

We also continue to excel with our engineered designs in this sector, from shop units to large warehouses. Either working to tables within standards, or hydraulically calculating, to ensure the most economical system available is produced.
